“I’d like to thank all of our friends in Central Texas for their compassion and generosity.
Austin always steps up. We are so grateful.” Kirk Bohls, Honorary Chair
The Golf Marathon is FFH’s largest single source of funds, allowing us to assist children and their families and single adults who are experiencing or facing homelessness. Working side-by-side with more than 3,000 volunteers each year, FFH served more than 1,000 persons in 2012, including 70+ families with children.
Event co-chairs Matt Mitchell and Topher Stapleton, honorary chair Kirk Bohls and 25 teams worked to raise a minimum of $3,000 per team to support children, their families, and individuals experiencing homelessness. The FUNdraising campaign began in February and we was celebrated with a fun day of golf at Grey Rock Golf Club on Monday April 15, 2013. FUNdraising teams of 1 to 4 golfers played a scramble and up to 100 holes of golf and vied for prizes in fundraising categories as well as golf skills. Golfers were treated to unlimited golf; breakfast tacos donated by Jack Allen’s Kitchen in Oak Hill; lunch, unlimited snacks and drinks; a keg, goody bag sponsored by the folks at Brown McCarroll and 24 Diner; and great weather on a beautiful course.
The golf event is over, but the fundraising continues. Make a donation on behalf of your favorite team, golfer or the FFH house team, No.30! If you would prefer to mail in a check, you may download and print the Donation/pledge card.
Many thanks to Andy Graham for putting together this great video highlighting our day out at Grey Rock
