Family Stability

FFH utilizes multiple grants and donations to provide a safe and inviting housing focused shelter for families experiencing homelessness while working with these families to attain their own long-term housing.  Our case workers and support staff work closely with each family to address their barriers to housing, to connect them to community resources, and to support then on their unique path to self-sufficiency.  Prior to 2018, FFH and our congregational partners housed clients in churches using the IHN/Family Promise model.  FFH now houses clients in master leased apartments and houses.  Families have averaged less than 60 days in shelter prior to gaining the skills and stability to obtain their own housing spaces.  During 2018, Family Stability achieved its 12-month goals assigned through city contracts within the first nine months and continue to add to those totals.   Case management and financial support for the housed families continue as needed for up to 24 months.
