Family Rehousing Initiative (FRI)

The Family Rehousing Initiative (FRI) program is a housing focused shelter and rapid rehousing program for families with children experiencing homelessness.  The primary purpose of FRI is to ensure that families who are experiencing homelessness have access to shelter, case management and rapid rehousing assistance.  FRI’s supportive services assist clients in transitioning from homelessness into permanent and stable housing.  Our housing focused shelter model motivates and guides families to stable housing as quickly as possible.

Family Stability (BSS+)

Foundation for the Homeless provides rapid re-housing through the Best Single Source Plus program for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.  This multi-agency collaborative focuses on case management for obtaining and maintaining safe and stable housing.
The Foundation for the Homeless BSS+ Program is not currently accepting outside referrals.   Please call 211 if you are currently housed and need assistance. Families experiencing homelessness should complete the ECHO Coordinated Assessment.

Need Help?

If you are seeking housing services, Foundation for the Homeless accepts client referrals from the Austin/Travis Country Continuum of Care Coordinated Assessment list. In order to receive Foundation for the Homeless services, individuals must complete the Coordinated Assessment and be referred by ECHO's Coordinated Entry. Information on how to start the process can be found at: Coordinated Assessment List
